Yesterday I went for a bit of an explore around the Richmond Hills and set up a navigation course for my partner’s Spring Challenge Team, putting 5 orienteering markers up in the hills. Coach Ray’s Sufferings: Falling Off the Wagon

This week went pretty well, until I went away for the weekend and had a few too many beers and also order dessert. I figured I was burning a lot of kiloJoules with all the exercise I was doing and it wouldn’t matter. But it all added up and it DID matter.  However before I got to that point I had some good results with another 1.6kg lost over 6 days.

Back By Popular Demand Is The Qwik Kiwi – Spring Challenge Training Camp in Hanmer Springs

If you and your team managed to get an entry for the Spring Challenge this year I’d like to invite you to join me and three other teams for a dedicated training weekend in Hanmer Springs four weeks out from the Spring Challenge.

As with previous years I will teach navigation and mountain biking skills on the Saturday and then on Sunday you will work with your team mates in a simulated event utilising the great outdoors around Hanmer and Mt Isobel.
