Thursday Training Plan: Challenge Wanaka Swim Training Plan (INTERMEDIATE 12 Week Plan)

With Challenge Wanaka rapidly approaching, I’ve prepared a programme for athletes wanting to swim a PB.  This programme starts on the 27 November 2017 and will take you right through to Challenge Wanaka on the 17 February 2018. This programme can also be used for Ironman NZ on the 3 March 2018 by starting it on 11 December 2017.

Challenge Wanaka

The programme is made up of three swim sessions each week. This leaves plenty of time to include your running and cycling within your programme. To start this programme it is recommended that you are able to swim for 3,000m (including rests).

Over the twelve weeks you will build up your fitness and finish swimming faster over an Ironman swim of 3.8km (2.4 miles).

Purchase the programme today for only $107* through Training Peaks and have it loaded directly into your Training Peaks account. Don’t have a Training Peaks account? Sign up for the free Basic Account today (and get upgraded to premium for your first 7 days).

*Training Peaks works in US currency and this price equates to NZ$13 per week on the current exchange rate.
