Thursday Training Plan: Buller Gorge HALF MARATHON Training Plan (INTERMEDIATE 10 Week Plan)

With the Buller Gorge Marathon and Half Marathon rapidly approaching, I’ve got a programme for intermediate runners wanting to improve on their Half Marathon time.  This programme starts on the 4 December 2017 and will take you right through to the Buller Gorge Half Marathon on the 10 February 2018.

The progamme is made up of three runs each week plus a recovery stretch session. This leaves plenty of time to include a fourth run or cross training within your programme. To start this programme it is recommended that you can run continuously for 80 minutes and are training with a GPS watch such as the popular Garmin series.

Over the ten weeks you will build up to a 2:00 hour run and have focused speed work sessions at the most appropriate time within the periodised programme.
