Wednesday Windtrainer Workout: Andrew Shanks’ Steady State Session 3

This workout will develop your aerobic efficiency. With a small amount work at Level IV you will also develop your aerobic capacity a little too. This session will help you develop that and is great for all cyclists including triathletes and mountain bikers.

Mike’s Middle Distance Magic: good and bad!

On a positive note this week has seen some good power numbers and some pretty decent speed on the runs! However not everything was on track to achieve my goals, unfortunately.

UltraHumps – Ironman NZ 2020 As A Volunteer!

Ironman 2019 was on the weekend I was to commence travel for my deployment overseas, whilst I could of completed it in Taupo and then headed to Auckland Airport, it obviously wouldn’t have been fair on my family. Upon return from deployment several months later, I knew I would be to unfit to do Ironman 2020. Being a stubborn git I know I could of still made it to the finish line, for the free Finishers T-Shirt after all, but elected to give something back to the event that changed my life and still provides a focus to train for each year.

Saturday Swim Session: Ryan Bolton’s Tri-Specific Speed/Threshold Swim Set

This session simulates a race. Stating off hard and fast settle into a rhythm and then finish hard. This session is perfect for Ironman and Olympic distance triathletes or people doing longer ocean swims.

Friday Fartlek Run – The Run Experience Big Dog Workout

This is a perfect session for runners and triathletes running events between 10km through to Half Marathon and it can also be great to build fitness for those doing longer events too.

Wednesday Windtrainer Workout: Andrew Shanks’ Steady State Session 2

This workout will develop your aerobic efficiency. With a small amount work at Level IV you will also develop your aerobic capacity a little too. This session will help you develop that and is great for all cyclists including triathletes and mountain bikers.
