Thursday Training Plan – 16 week Auckland Marathon & Half Marathon

The Auckland Marathon and Half Marathon are great events and one of the first to confirm their dates in a post-COVID world. When you cross the finish line you will have achieved something special at this great event.

Designed for beginner and intermediate runners who are looking to complete the either the full or half marathon, these plans will help you achieve your goals.

Crafted by myself, Ray Boardman PGDipSportsMed, PGDipRehab, PGCertSc (Exercise Science), BSc (Anatomy), DipSportsStudies this plan encapsulates my passion for the sport, my experience from completing dozens of Half and Full IRONMAN distance finishes and my success coaching hundreds of triathletes.

Being 16 weeks in duration (starting on Monday 16-July-20), these plans progresses through phases to build you to your peak performance in time for the Auckland Marathon and Half Marathon.
