Thursday Training Plan – 18 Week IronMāori Half Training Plan
When you cross the finish line at the IronMāori Half, you will have accomplished something very special.
Designed for beginner and intermediate triathletes who are looking to complete the IronMāori Half, these plans will help you achieve your goals.
Crafted by myself, Ray Boardman PGDipSportsMed, PGDipRehab, PGCertSc (Exercise Science), BSc (Anatomy), DipSportsStudies this plan encapsulates my passion for the sport, my experience from completing dozens of Half and Full IRONMAN distance finishes and my success coaching hundreds of triathletes.
Being 18 weeks in duration (starting on Monday 03-August-20), this plan progresses through phases to build you to your peak performance in time for the IronMāori Half.
Prior to using the beginner plan, you should be able to complete the following workouts:
- Swim: 500 meters within a workout
- Bike: 30min continuously
- Run: 30min continuously
