Thursday Training Plan – 24 week Surfbreaker Triathlon Training Plan

The Surfbreaker Triathlon in mount Maunganui is one of the iconic events on the NZ triathlon calendar having been held each year since 1985.

Options for both Intermediate & Beginner triathletes who are looking to either complete or compete at the Surfbreaker event, the primary goal of this training plan is to prepare you to ACHIEVE your goals at the Surfbreaker.

Crafted by myself, Ray Boardman PGDipSportsMed, PGDipRehab, PGCertSc (Exercise Science), BSc (Anatomy), DipSportsStudies this plan encapsulates my passion for the sport, my experience from completing hundreds of triathlon events over the 30 years I’ve been in the sport and my success coaching hundreds of athletes.

Being 24 weeks in duration (starting on Monday 19-July-21), these plans progresses through phases to build you to your peak performance in time for the Surfbreaker.
