Thursday Training Plan – 12 week Blue Lake Multisport Festival Training Plan

The Blue Lake Multisport Festival is staple event in the North Island Triathlon season with six events over two days. I first raced here in the early 90’s. Whether you do the Aquathon, then the open water swim on Saturday and then the Sprint Tri on Sunday or just one of the events you will have achieved something special at this great event.

Programmes designed for either beginner or intermediate triathletes who are looking to complete one of the events or doing the whole series at the Blue Lake Multisport Festival (Aquathon, Open Water Swim and Sprint Tri), these plans will help you achieve your goals.

Crafted by myself, Ray Boardman PGDipSportsMed, PGDipRehab, PGCertSc (Exercise Science), BSc (Anatomy), DipSportsStudies this plan encapsulates my passion for the sport, my experience from completing 30+ years of triathlon training & racing and my success coaching hundreds of triathletes.
