Chef Ray – Peach Chutney

Peach Chutney

This chutney is fresh and flavoursome, it goes well with grilled meats and roast chicken. We enjoyed it with pork.

Ingredients

  • 4-6 medium peaches, coarsely chopped (no need to remove skin)
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup white or apple cider vinegar
  • ½ juice of a lemon
  • 1 jalapeno, chopped
  • 1 tsp chopped fresh ginger
  • ½ medium onion, chopped
  • 2 Tbsps. salt

Instructions

  • Place all ingredients in a large heavy pot. Cook over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally, until peaches have softened and the syrup has turned a caramel color, about 20 minutes. Let cool.
  • Run in food processor or blender for a few seconds to achieve an even chunky consistency.
