Spring Challenge Training

Kia Ora Team, like Kaz I’m a retired Army Physical Training Instructor (PTI). I’ve been around the Adventure Racing scene since the year 2000 and prior to that multisport and triathlon (in fact I finished 2nd to Steve Gurney in a race back in 1994!!!!)

Each year I run a training camp for ladies doing the Spring Challenge. Most years I base it in Hanmer Springs and we cover introductory MtBing and Navigation skills. Kaz has asked me to deliver my training camp exclusively for Bootcamp with Kaz athletes. She has arranged accommodation and I’ll deliver the education and training.

If you and your team managed to get an entry for the Spring Challenge this year I’d like to invite you to join me and three other teams for a dedicated training weekend in Hanmer Springs four weeks out from the Spring Challenge. Set aside the weekend of 15/16 June and join us in Hanmer to develop your Adventure Racing Skills.

Introduction to Adventure Racing
This weekend of training will deliver the skills you require to complete your first Adventure Race (AR), as well as some quality training session in amazing terrain.

Aim
To develop basic AR skills in order to participate in the Spring Challnege.

Each year these camps sell out in less than 24 hours, and this one is set aside just for you as a valued member of Bootcamp with Kaz. Have watch of what previous teams have said about the camps.

Have a listen and watch to what the girls from No Test Eagles had to say about a previous camp.
Here are the girls from Shake, Rattle and Roll and their thoughts on last years camp.

Don’t miss out on this opportunity as it is strictly limited. If you have any questions feel free to give me a call on 021 348 729.

As Kaz is an Army PTI colleague it didn’t take much for her to convince me to do it at a slightly cheaper price for you as well. The normal investment for the weekend is $547 per team. Kaz has convinced me to do the weekend of training including the morning of MtBing and afternoon of navigation training on the Saturday and the event simulation on the Sunday morning for only 347 per team (117 per person) saving you a massive $200 off the full price if paid in full prior to Saturday 20th April. If you pay after the 20th it’ll be 447 per team (149 per person) still saving you $100 off the full price.

If your team can’t join you and you would like to come as an individual it will only be only 167 for the weekend saving you $80 off the full price if paid in full prior to Saturday 20th April. If you pay after the 20th it’ll be 207 still saving you $40 off the full price.

If you want to take advantage of this training camp, act now and register your interest with the form below.
