Long Run

Monday’s with Jessica [Ep 62]: Weekly, Long Run

My long runs have began to be run consistently before school starts every Friday morning, now that I have increased my time to two hours I am getting myself up by 5am to give myself time to get everything ready to start running by 5:40-45, this leaves me enough time to complete the run by around 7:40am. At first this was hard, especially having to run through the dark, and know I will have to go to school after.

3x 8min Threshold Intervals - 60min

Sunday Smart-Trainer Session: 3x 8min Threshold Intervals

Spending time riding at your Threshold will enhance your ability to ride at Threshold. It will allow you to tolerate lactic acid, clearing it more effectively, lifting your Functional Threshold Power (FTP) and also moving your Anaerobic Threshold deflection point to the right. Both these things mean you will be a fitter more effective cyclist. This workout will benefit all cyclists – road, mountain bikers and triathletes.
