“Training for excellence, with excellent training.”
Tough Mudder is an endurance event in which participants attempt 20km-long obstacle courses that test mental as well as physical strength.
Designed for Intermediate athletes who are looking to enhance their speed in the last few weeks of training.
Crafted by myself, Ray Boardman PGDipSportsMed, PGDipRehab, PGCertSc (Exercise Science), BSc (Anatomy), DipSportsStudies this plan encapsulates my passion for the sport, my experience from completing dozens of trail runners and Obstacle Course Racers.
Starting 12 weeks before the New Zealand Tough Mudder (on 08-Oct-18), this plan progresses through phases to build you to your peak performance on race day. Each week typically contains 3x runs and 3x conditioning circuits swims. Although not necessary, I recommend using a heart rate monitor in conjunction with a GPS watch (such as a Garmin).
Prior to using this plan, you should be able to run for 2 hours.
Purchase of this plan gives you access to my fortnightly coaching calls where you can ask me any training or racing related questions.
