Thursday Training Plan – 12-week Tauranga Half and Mount Festival of Multisport Training Plan

The Tauranga Half Ironman is a great event that has a range of great associated events aligned with it. When you cross the finish line you will have achieved something special at this great event.

Programmes designed for either beginner or intermediate triathletes who are looking to complete one of the events at the Tauranga Half Ironman or Mount Festival of Multisport (Aquabike, Mount Run, or Pilot Bay Swim), these plans will help you achieve your goals.

Crafted by myself, Ray Boardman PGDipSportsMed, PGDipRehab, PGCertSc (Exercise Science), BSc (Anatomy), DipSportsStudies this plan encapsulates my passion for the sport, my experience from completing dozens of Half and Full IRONMAN distance finishes and my success coaching hundreds of triathletes.

Being 12 weeks in duration (starting on Monday 01-November-21), these plans progress through phases to build you to your peak performance in time for the Tauranga Half Ironman and associated events of the Mount Festival of Multisport.
