Lisa’s Journey, Week 38: Ray to the Rescue!

This week was much the same as the last… you know, I go for my ride and if I remember, I get a photo for the blog, it’s enjoyable to be out as I like biking more than running. But have found myself fantasising about running, while I’m biking. I guess it’s because I can’t!

Mike’s Middle Distance Magic: Success week and posture analysis!

I’m currently doing a sports massage course and I’m learning a lot about muscles, joints, posture etc. The course tutors are brilliant and their knowledge is unreal! I’ve never really paid that much attention to the way I swim/bike/run and I’ve took more notice in the results, paces speed etc.

Lisa’s Journey, Week 37: This weeks been a stiff one…

I tried, and I managed to stay in the correct zone, and over 80% for two subsequent bikes so I think I finally ‘get it’! My HR can drop or rise so many beats just like that, so I’m up and down like a jack-in-a-box. But I think now I get it, I don’t have to go out and blow a fufu to gain. – Yes much like my running at the start. I felt I should’ve been running faster, but couldn’t keep it up the whole run, but when I listened (to the coach who doesn’t just say it, for the sake of it) I found I could actually keep on running… Yeah, I know I need to listen.

Mikes Middle Distance Magic: Is It Test Week Already?

Its been a bit up and down this week! After spotting at the weekend Ray had put a couple of test sessions in I was like, “wow really” as I’ve been doing a lot of base building sessions in zone 2, so was a bit apprehensive how I’d do on these sessions.
