Dun Run Training Plan

20 week Dun Run Trail Run Training Plan starts 11-Apr-22

Now is the time to get on board and join Qwik Kiwi Coaching for my great training plans to prepare you for Dun Run Trail Run in 20 weeks.

Rugged but runnable – 26kms up into the “Backwoods of Nelson” and along the sub alpine mineral belt. Sweeping views out to a glittering Tasman Bay await you as you descend New Zealand’s first railway line to the finish.

From the Maitai Dam, the route ascends to the Dun Mountain Saddle (875m) following the south branch of the Maitai River. Taking the Coppermine Saddle track and downhill along New Zealand’s first railway line, through Third House and finishing at the OK Corral, Brook Street, Nelson. This is a testing run – but not impossible.

Programmes designed for either beginner or intermediate runners who are looking to complete their trail running event, these plans will help you achieve your goals.

Crafted by myself, Ray Boardman PGDipSportsMed, PGDipRehab, PGCertSc (Exercise Science), BSc (Anatomy), DipSportsStudies this plan encapsulates my passion for the sport, my experience from completing dozens of marathon events and triathlons and my success coaching hundreds of athletes.

Being 20 weeks in duration (starting on Monday 11-Apr-22), these plans progresses through phases to build you to your peak performance in time for your Trail Run.
