Kinloch Triathlon

Monday’s with Jessica [Ep 6]: Kinloch Triathlon

I completed my first sprint distance triathlon this past Sunday and it definitely didn’t disappoint, I also went in not realising until the day before that the course contained a super steep hill, this was both mentally and physically a challenge for me.

As I started training for triathlons I had no road biking experience, let alone any kind of long cycling experience. I knew that’s what I would struggle with cycling the most, luckily  I pushed through and made it to the end but I have definitely learnt the lesson on training hills.

Other than that slight slip up, I used my wet suit for the first time and it was amazing I had no struggle taking it off during the first transition so that’s another bonus, the swim felt easy and strong so it was a good start to the race, after I had pushed through the bike the run felt equally as amazing as the swim and I felt like I could run for days.

This really proved to me how I can be so different in confidence it different areas. With this triathlon I have continued to see my passion with them and will definitely be training towards my next few in the coming weeks.
