Mikes’s Middle Distance Magic: How dare Christmas Do’s get in the way!

The week started off great, feel I’m repeating myself with this opening sentence, but it did!

Then I missed the Thursday interval run as the weather was appalling, was late getting in from work and just didn’t want to be running in freezing rain and slipping on ice, specially being the speed run.

Then as the title suggests it was my works Christmas do. I don’t really drink that much so when it 241 cocktails and work colleagues adamant to keep me out. The results got messy. Long story short the weekend was a write off after that! The blog is late, I was a mess all weekend and training non existent! Not proud of it specially when I was really looking forward to a good weekend of training!

However, it’s Monday, it’s a new week and I am determined to make amends and get a good weeks training in before Christmas week. Really looking forward to it and hope messing up this weekend is behind me and I can push on for a couple of weeks and get some new year resolutions set in place. It’s less than four months to the tri season and it’s now time to really knuckle down!
